The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) is a non-profit association of 21 cancer centers. For the last 15 years and lead by world-renowned oncologists, the goal of NCCN is working together to improve the quality and effectiveness of patient care. The consistently updated Oncology Guidelines is the foremost reference for the study of cancer and treatment. With the surge of mobile development, the network saw an opportunity to make the Guidelines more accessible to 70,000 oncologists.

NCCN came to One Mighty Roar with a challenge - create a mobile application for the Oncology Guidelines which are used regularly by their network of oncologists. For this project, we partnered up with our friends at Prolific Interactive and set about making the app a reality.

The Guidelines are a comprehensive set of sequential management decisions and interventions for the malignant cancers that affect 97% of all patients with cancer. The application was intended to make referencing the guidelines easier while at the point of contact with patients. In June 2010, One Mighty Roar launched the NCCN Guidelines mobile application to registered users of NCCN.org.

This application served an important purpose, since NCCN cares for 160,000 patients a year. After the launch, the Guidelines peaked at #16 in the top 200 medical apps. One Mighty Roar was faced with a challenge; make it easier for Oncologists to access the Guidelines to which we responded with a thorough and highly successful application for anyone in the NCCN network.
